He also argued the prosecution’s case was weak, saying the alleged victim is now a junior in high school and making allegations dating back to when she was in fourth grade.Clancy said police interviewed most of the other kids in her class from back then, and most saw nothing with a few commenting that O’Hearn would rub the backs of students over the clothing.“This case is causing me real concern keeping him in custody,” Mills said.
Clancy argued that O’Hearn surrendered, taught for more than two decades without a criminal record, and will not return to a school campus because he is on unpaid leave.
"I think the reason (Sunset Development, who's overseeing the project) sought us out is they think of us as a premium brand that fits in with their concept," he says.
"I think that the demographics of the customers that we see in all of our taprooms are very consistent with what's happening in San Ramon." The indoor portion of the property will be 2,400 square feet, in addition to 2,700 square feet on an outdoor patio.
O’Hearn has been on administrative leave the entire school year and is not assigned to a school site, San Ramon Valley Unified School District spokeswoman Elizabeth Graswich said.
He was a teacher at Walt Disney from 2002 to 2008 and Rancho Romero Elementary School from 2008 to 2014, before pursuing counseling and receiving a transfer to Dougherty Valley High School last school year.
