She was predeceased by her parents as well as by a beloved aunt, Reva Goundrey, whom she helped care for many years.
Gloria retired in 2002 after 25 years from the Southern Tier Central Planning Board.
Gloria was born in Montour Falls on May 21, 1942, the oldest daughter of the late Delos and Betty Owen.
She is survived by her children, Jim (Evelyn) Hunter of NY, NY, Karen Hunter (Bill Teemley) of Burdett, NY, and Michelle Hunter of Elmira, NY; three grandsons, Ryan (Tawny) Cilley, Brandon (Caitlin) Cilley, and Jesse Hunter; five great grandchildren, Alayah, Eli, Liviana, Odin and Oliver; five siblings, Ginny (Jerry) Costley, Linda (John) Bernas, Pam (Steve) Gardner, Bruce (Mary) Owen, and Dawn (Jim) Hines; and several nieces and nephews.
The majority is corporate based, although the frequency of (wedding) rehearsal dinners has really picked up quite a bit. We'd like to expand out into the parking lot a little bit and put a pergola out there for some outdoor seating.
The space on the second floor really lends itself to getting out of a banquet room for a space that has more of an intimate feel and warmth to it. We’d also like to expand our kitchen a little bit to better meet the demand we’re getting.
